FAQ >> How are payments processed and what security measures are in place?
We accept credit and debit card payments using Stripe, a reputable US-based payment processor. We also accept payments using PayPal.
All payments are processed securely and in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. All payment pages are secured using SSL with encryption strength of up to 256-Bit. All payment data is transmitted securely, in the case of credit/debit card payments we will not store your card details unless you indicate you would like us to save them for future use. If you do choose to save your card details all the data will be encrypted using 256-Bit AES encryption methods which have been certified for use by government and military. Your card details will never be displayed in full and they will not be used unless you initiate a top-up or have scheduled an automatic top-up payment.
If submitting payment via PayPal we do not have access to any sensitive payment details, we will only store your PayPal email address in association to your invoice and associated transaction information.
Both SagePay and PayPal employ state-of-the-art anti-fraud systems to protect you and us from fraudulent transactions. All our systems have been audited and are PCI compliant, all data is stored in accordance with PCI standards and the UK Data Protection ACT. Please note, credit/debit card payments in excess of $50 USD / £50 GBP / €50 EUR are subject to additional fraud screening which may include a 'Verified by Visa' or 'MasterCard SecureCode' authentication process, these authentication processes may also be applied at the discretion of your card provider.
Payments are typically processed and added to your balance within a few minutes except:
- If a PayPal bank transfer or eCheque payment is used then it can take up to 7 days to process your payment, typically these payments are completed within 3 - 5 days.
- If your payment is flagged for fraud screening then it can take up to 3 days to process your payment, typically these processes are completed within 24 hours.
