FAQ >> Is the backup process security suitable for credit card data?

Yes, the myRepono backup encryption and transfer process provide ample security for credit card data and are in compliance with PCI-DSS standards assuming the following configuration options are met:

• The URL used for the myRepono API must be secured with an SSL certificate. This means it must use the https protocol.
• If the data is not already encrypted using 256-Bit encryption then you must enable the Rijndael 256-Bit encryption in the myRepono API configuration. It is recommended you do this irrelevant of whether or not the data is already encryption.
