New Features: Restoration File Selection & Summary

We are very pleased to announce the myRepono restoration system has received a significant update which adds a wide range of new features and improvements.

Restoration File Selection

The restoration file selection has been significantly advanced to include three new file selection methods.
 

File Tree Selection

File Tree
The file tree selection method allows you to view all your backup files in a directory tree, enabling you to easily browse your files to select specific files and directories for restoration. Simply select the checkboxes next to each file/directory to add them to your 'Items to Restore' list.
 
Databases
The databases selection method lists your database table backups, allowing you to easily add individual database tables or complete databases to your 'Items to Restore' list.
 
Search
The search selection method allows you to search your backup for specific files or directories. Searches use a partial match compared against the full file path for each file, therefore searching for 'example', '.php', '/public_html/' and 'home/username' would all return the file '/home/username/public_html/example.php'.

System Downtime Report: 30th December 2011

Period of Downtime:

Friday 30th December 2011, 10:40 to 11:30 GMT (50 minutes)

Reason for Downtime:

A large log file relating to the mail queue caused a partition to become full within seconds, this caused the primary database server to respond slowly. This was detected at 10:30 GMT before the system was affected but the steps taken to resolve the issue caused the database server to go down. To prevent confusion the myRepono website and system were shutdown while the log file was removed and related issues could be assessed and resolved.

API Version 1.5 for Improved Compatibility & Reliability

The myRepono Backup API has been updated with numerous enhancements to improve the API's compatibility, performance, and reliability.

It is strongly recommended that all users update their API to version 1.5 using either the manual or automated API installation tools, or users running version 1.4 may be able to take advantage of the new API upgrade tool.
